Parent-Child Attachment Play (PCAP) is a gentle play-based approach aimed at improving the attachment quality of the parent-child relationship.
It utilises attachment mechanisms and child-oriented play with parents/carers and their children aged 3-15+ years. It offers an ideal opportunity to bring positive relationship change directly into the family home by empowering parents and carers as change agents.
Delivery
PCAP can be delivered one-to-one with a parent/carer or with a small group of parents together, sharing three key skills over 10 steps. The programme is also suitable for secondary attachments and is an effective tool for building relationships in schools, particularly for designated adults working with vulnerable children, including CLA.
Dobbie Stones is an accredited facilitator of this programme having trained with Debi Maskell-Graham.
