SandStory Skills®

Do you work in an educational setting, supporting the wellbeing and emotional development of children or young people?

SandStory Skills® equips practitioners who are not qualified therapists with essential, safe skills to support the emotional wellbeing and personal development of children, young people in their care.

SandStory Skills® transcends verbal communication and gives participants a voice and an opportunity to tell their ‘story’. It is not a therapy but provides a session structure which ensures practitioners are working safely and respectfully within the remit of their roles. These skills harness the child’s natural instinct to engage in playful storytelling and gives practitioner confidence to understand and support the storytelling process.

This experiential training is delivered over two days, either online or in person and is suitable for: ELSAs, teachers, TAs, Nurture Group leaders, Early Years Practitioners, Behaviour Support workers and anyone else supporting the wellbeing and emotional development of children in educational settings.

Groups are deliberately small (no more than 6) to provide you with the best experience and tailor the training to your needs.
