A Gentle Space to Explore, Express and Grow
Sometimes words are enough. Sometimes they are not.
Creative therapy offers a different way of exploring your thoughts, feelings, and experiences through creative expression. It provides a safe, supportive space where you can slow down, reconnect with yourself, and discover new ways of understanding what you’re going through.
You don’t need any artistic experience. This isn’t about creating beautiful artwork—it’s about giving yourself the freedom to explore, express, and reflect in whatever way feels right for you.
My Approach
My work is grounded in a person-centred, integrative, and humanistic philosophy. I believe that each person has the capacity for growth, healing, and change when they are met with empathy, acceptance, and genuine understanding.
Our therapeutic relationship is at the heart of the work we do together. I aim to create a warm, compassionate, and non-judgemental environment where you feel heard, respected, and accepted exactly as you are.
As an integrative therapist, I recognise that every individual is unique. Rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor each session to your needs, drawing upon creative methods alongside therapeutic conversation and reflection.
You are the expert in your own life. My role is to walk alongside you, supporting you as you explore your experiences at a pace that feels safe and comfortable.
What Is Creative Therapy?
Creative therapy uses a variety of creative materials and processes to support emotional wellbeing and self-discovery. Creative expression can help access thoughts and feelings that may be difficult to articulate, offering fresh perspectives and deeper self-awareness.
Sessions may include:
- Drawing and painting
- SandStory
- Collage and mixed media
- Clay and tactile materials
- Creative journalling
- Mindful creative exercises
- Image-making and symbolic exploration
There is never any expectation to be creative in a particular way. The focus is always on your experience rather than the finished piece.
Creative Therapy May Help If You Are…
- Feeling anxious, stressed, or overwhelmed
- Living with low mood or depression
- Experiencing burnout
- Navigating grief, loss, or life transitions
- Struggling with self-esteem or confidence
- Finding it difficult to express emotions
- Looking to deepen your self-awareness
- Seeking a greater sense of balance, meaning, or connection
Creative therapy can also benefit anyone wishing to reconnect with their creativity as a source of wellbeing and personal growth.
What to Expect
Our first session is an opportunity to get to know one another and explore what has brought you to therapy. We’ll discuss your hopes, answer any questions you may have, and begin to think together about what support might look like for you.
Throughout our work together, you are always free to choose how you engage. Some sessions may involve creative materials, while others may be entirely conversational. We will work collaboratively, following what feels most helpful in the moment.
There is no pressure, no expectation to perform, and no right or wrong way to express yourself.
